SURGERY ROTATION OBJECTIVES
Objectives of the surgery rotation include
training and experience in:
1.
Admitting and discharging patients
2.
Obtaining medical histories and conducting appropriate
physical examinations.
3.
Preparing the patient record, including notation of pre
and post-operative orders, progress notes, description of surgical procedures
and discharge summaries.
4.
Making rounds on inpatients and same-day surgery
patients.
5.
Proper operating room procedure.
6.
On-Call evaluation and management of surgery patients.
